The Power of Three

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and  Three Stone Rings

Call it lucky.  Maybe even magical.  There’s no denying that the number three is symbolic.  Many notions have been associated with the number…  everything from religious connotations to ancient superstition.  The ideas have even permeated the jewelry world.  Three stone rings have often been described as “Past, Present, and Future” pieces.  So, whether it’s the symbolism that draws you in or simply the intrinsic beauty, these rings are just too good to miss!

This stunning trio offers all the best elements of the early 1900’s – handcrafted design, expertly executed filigree work, and a perfectly placed pop of color.  Factor in the “three-stone” element, then ask yourself this…  “What’s not to love?”

Get an eyeful of this little enchantress!  Milgrain details bring delicate filigree edges to life with tiny hand-faceted beads that sparkle like diamonds.  To fashion that “three stone” style, the center diamond is flanked by a pair of French cut synthetic blue sapphires (Many people don’t know that synthetic stones were common during the Art Deco period!).  The burst of blue makes the ring even more enticing.  Available now for just $1100.00.

Soft white gold blends with the warmth of yellow gold to create this classic beauty.  The ring sparkles with a pair of European Cut diamonds and a synthetic ruby center.  Four leaf-life accents perform supporting roles, each one with a faceted diamond center.  Go to our site and check it out for yourself.

If you love vintage jewelry, but color isn’t your thing, then this third ring is the charm!  From the heart of the Art Deco period, you’ll love the graceful lines of this elegant ring.  Three Old European Cut diamonds set across the top give this piece that time-honored “three stone” appeal.  This ring is a perfect fit for just $900.00.

On the count of three, come to Joden and make one of these rings yours!  And don’t forget to subscribe to Joden Girl to have it delivered straight to your inbox.  Just click on the newsletter link and sign-up now.

Me, too.

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and Right Hand Rings

Simply put, a right hand ring is any ring worn on your right hand…  but the symbolism can be so much more.  There have been many slogans associated with right hand rings, two of the most memorable ones include “Me, not we” and “Raise your Right Hand.”  Both statements honor strong, independent, and successful women.  I consider myself to be all of those things.

The thing I am most proud of  is my family.  Every day  I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, and an aunt.  I am also an employee, a co-worker, and a friend…  the list goes on.  In the hustle and bustle of every day life, it’s easy to forget who I am outside of these other identities.  Often times, your own needs are last on the list.   A right hand ring is a constant reminder.  It doesn’t say “Me, first,” but rather “Me, too.”

This photo features three Victorian rings, any of which would make a perfect right hand ring.  Set with opals, seed pearls, and vintage cut diamonds – these rings are all moderately priced under $500.00.

These two rings are available on our site.  The first ring, constructed of 14 karat yellow gold, contains seven diamonds that weigh .25 carats and sells for $675.00.  The second piece contains a striking pair of fiery opals cut in cabochon style.  These two stones are further accented by three center diamonds.  It can be yours for just $1800.00.

Check out these beauties and many others in our showroom at Joden Jewelers.  Find a right hand ring that speaks to you, and about you.  Find a ring that says “Me, too.”

Seize The Day

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and Sun Seekers

The weatherman is calling for 72 degrees tomorrow.  In February.  In Western Pennsylvania.  What a delicious little reprieve after the long cold days of winter.  It feels like Spring.  Even the flowers think so…  my crocuses have pushed their bright yellow and purple petals up through the cold ground – seeking the sun.  At the end of the day,  I cruise down the road – sun roof open, jacket discarded on the passenger seat.  I, too, am seeking the sun.

I cannot take another day of heavy coats, gloves, snow boots and  hats.   My boys are begging to wear shorts to school.  In my best mom tone, I tell them “No!  It’s February!,” but a little voice inside wants to let them.  My sweaters have been shoved to the back of the closet in favor of lightweight colorful blouses and soft cotton pants.  Every morning I look longingly at my strappy sandals and little summer dresses.  I’m even ready for “summer” jewelry…  ankle bracelets, toe rings, and delicate little necklaces like these…

I absolutely love this Victorian bib necklace.  It’s incredibly light and feels as smooth as silk against your skin.  Hundreds of individual gold links have been carefully woven together to create this effortless look.  Pair it with a one-shouldered goddess-style dress for the perfect “night out” look, or with your favorite cropped jeans and halter for a casual effect.  It’s available now on our website for just $1350.00.

Choose one of these vintage beauties for your 2017 summer wardrobe.  The yellow gold adds warmth and classic style to every outfit.  The twin drop necklace is available on our site – be sure to check it out today.  The second pendant is a steal at $250.00 – but you’ll have to come to Joden to get it!  It’s a beautiful day for a drive and we’re open until 5…
