The Space Between

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and a Wrap Around Ring

With only three shopping days left until Christmas, the holiday panic has set in!  Stores are filled with customers who just don’t know what to buy!  Don’t let it get you.  At Joden, we can solve all your gift-giving dilemmas.  We have perfect pieces for everyone on your list…  we’ll even wrap it with a pretty bow!

Check out my pick for today… an absolutely adorable wrap ring.  This is not your mom’s wrap ring…  instead, it’s like a little hug for your finger.  Made from 14 karat rose gold, this piece is a play on a bypass ring.  One end features a lovely lavender colored amethyst nestled into a delicate halo comprised of twenty-eight round brilliant diamonds, while the other end is a tiny micro-pave diamond ball.  The 2.38-carat amethyst is specially cut with a checkerboard style faceting that adds to the modern feel of the ring.  The forty-seven diamonds that make up the two stations have a combined total weight of .12 carats.  It’s the ideal amount of sparkle!

While I am crazy for both of these elements, the best part of this ring is the space between them.  Look at it on my hand (excuse my un-manicured nails!).  The tiny opening makes this ring.  It’s everything!

I’m sure you’re wondering about the price, right?  I am delighted to tell you that this whimsical little beauty is priced at just $550.  It’s definitely budget friendly, and it’s available now at Joden Jewelers.

Party Pizzazz

Joden Girl

Baubles and Bling that Make the Holidays Sing!

Holiday parties: the office get-together, the family reunion, the annual “Friendsgiving” – they’re just around the corner.  If you’re anything like me, you’ll spend hours in front of your closet debating what to wear.  The stack of dresses, blouses, skirts and slacks will grow taller with each passing moment.  Once I’ve finally settled on the perfect ensemble – then it’s time for the fun, the bling!  Unfortunately, my earring selection is limited to a pile of silver hoops in varying sizes and a pair of diamond stud earrings.  And while these are ideal for every day, sometimes a girl needs a little more!

A little more indeed…  imagine clasping these beauties onto your earlobes.  A perfectly matched pair of rich violet cushion cut amethysts are embellished by a triple halo design…  all set in 18 karat rose gold.  A dazzling array of 132 brilliant diamonds and 40 oval amethysts come together in a truly spectacular creation.

These earrings feature fold-over Omega backs, a classic detail of the finest jewelry.  The signature reveals that “Crivelli” is the genius behind the beauty.  For nearly fifty years, the name Bruno Crivelli has been synonymous with quality Italian craftsmanship.  They are known for styles with incredible texture as well as dynamic color combinations.  This pair of earrings showcases all of those elements and more.

Moderately priced at just $2700 – these earrings will quickly become your favorites.  It’s easy to see why they have clinched the week three spot on my list of gift-worthy holiday bling.  Over the next few weeks, when you find yourself staring hopelessly into your closet – make accessorizing a snap with these earrings from Joden.

Joe’s Special Box – Volume 17

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and A Collector’s Things

Are you seeing double?  At first glance, it would seem so…  but upon closer inspection of this Art Nouveau darling – you’ll discover a difference or two.  Identical amethyst stones are cradled in a matte gold engraved frame; what a stunning canvas they create for this pair of delightful paintings!

First, on the left side, a young girl mischievously holds a colorful bouquet of flowers over the head of her playmate, a golden-haired cherub.  Then, on the right, an impish cherub sits on the lap of a girl with a nosegay of posies in hand while she holds his bow in the air.  What an array of whimsical imagery!

Art Nouveau (1890-1910) revealed in the female form.  It was a celebration of the woman, often combined with nature.  Multicolored enamel brought life to the jewels created during this time.  Soft colored gemstones like moonstone, amethyst, and pearls added an element of shimmer to this wearable art.  Pieces from this era are highly sought after and often collected; much like this brooch that made its way into Joe’s Special Box.
