Voluptuous Victorian

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and Curvaceous Things

Did you hear that?  Sounded like a long, slow whistle…  and no wonder.  This beauty has curves in all the right places.  Add in a perfect teardrop bottom, and it’s simply irresistible!

Made in classic Victorian style with silver layered over buttery yellow gold, this amethyst piece is pulling double duty – it’s a pendant AND a pin.  I love multipurpose jewels!

The scroll work starts at the top with a little curlicue, then slopes down and flairs out with a secondary flourish in the background.  Each one of these curves features an oxidized silver top that is artfully set with tiny rose cut diamonds.  Two pear-shaped amethysts deliver a glorious splash of color to the center section, while the addition of four small round pearls bring it all together in a swirl of Victorian vim!  Modestly priced at $2,610 – this will quickly become your statement piece.

Joe’s Special Box – Volume 15

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and A Collector’s Things

As I lay this bracelet across my wrist, I am hypnotized.  The light dances across every stone.  All 150 of them.  No picture can capture the beauty of this piece, although we have certainly tried.  Each element has combined to create a vision of Art Deco perfection.  The unusual pairing of bright green emeralds and black onyx is accented by a duo of single cut and rose cut diamonds.  These diamonds have been hand fitted to carved platinum links – a repeating pattern of style and elegance.  It is truly remarkable, and has certainly earned it’s place in Joe’s Special Box.  Priced at $19,800 – this treasure is not for the faint of heart!

Like Cake and Ice Cream

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling and Destined Things

Last week I introduced a dazzling pair of Edwardian cufflinks…  check them out.  Our Facebook Page is featuring a heated debate about those very cufflinks.  I’m asking all my readers this question “Should we keep them as they are, or should we convert them to earrings?”  Be sure to pop over there and cast your vote!

In my quest to find the perfect piece for this week’s Joden Girl, I stumbled across this beauty…

Handmade in classic Edwardian style from 14 karat yellow gold and platinum, this pendant is everything!  Made like a delicious layer cake, here’s how it stacks up.  A buttery yellow gold framework creates the cake base; it’s frosted with a cool sheet of platinum.  Nestled inside is the filling – a perfect oval of black onyx.  Next, the platinum is interspersed with 107 rose cut diamonds, providing an element of sparkle, and finally, a light sprinkling of 13 natural pearls.  Priced at $7,650, and worth every penny.

Look at how perfectly it pairs with the cufflinks!  If that pendant is the cake, then surely these cufflinks are the ice cream!  You can’t have one without the other.

Don’t forget to vote on the Facebook debate (Cufflinks or Earrings?) and stay tuned to see how it all shakes out.
