What’s New – Volume 58

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling and the Latest Things

Lately I am obsessed with green.ย  Don’t get me wrong – I’m still true blue – but green is creeping up on me!ย  I’ve been drawn to emeralds (my birthstone) – a rarity for me.ย  It’s the deep hues, those dark tones that catch my eye.ย  And of course, in terms of emeralds, those are the finest and most expensive ones… definitely not in my budget.ย  Due to a series of unfortunate events, I had to choose a last-minute replacement for today’s blog.ย  While I was digging around, I uncovered a doozy!

Platinum from top to bottom, this early 1940’s beauty stopped me in my tracks.ย  Thirty-four single-cut diamonds create a perfect oval halo.ย  With a combined weight of approximately 1.00 carat, they are the ideal complement to the center stone.ย  Measuring about an inch from top to bottom, this gem is bold and beautiful.ย  The deep green color can only be described as emerald green…ย  but this is no emerald.ย  It’s tourmaline – the prettiest one I have ever seen.ย ย

It’s more than pretty.ย  It’s mesmerizing.ย  Nearly reaching from knuckle to knuckle, this ring is SO good.ย  Everything about it is right… even the price.ย  An emerald in this size and color would be astronomically expensive.ย  However, this platinum, diamond and tourmaline gem is priced at just $2,150.00.ย  It’s a lot of look for the money…ย  we’re talking serious bang for your buck.ย

Here’s how it looks on my hand…ย  come on in and see how it looks on yours!

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and The Latest Things

If you’re a regular on our social media, you know that we love our conversion jewelry!ย  We love taking something that’s been laying around here and giving it a new life.ย  Sometimes a piece is worn out, broken or perhaps just no longer relevant.ย  To take that and create something fresh is so satisfying.ย ย

Our most recent passion has been conversion rings.ย  For years we shied away from them – but just a few months ago, with the addition of our new jeweler, we got brave!ย  Whether it be an old stick pin, or perhaps a shirt stud from a tuxedo set – these little finds make the sweetest rings when you combine them with the perfect band.ย ย

We’re crazy over this oh-so-elegant gem.ย  Formerly an oversize slide pendant, this incredible green tourmaline was constantly overlooked.ย  When we paired it with this simple yellow gold band, this elongated emerald cut deep green stone came alive.ย  It’s available in our conversion case for just $850.00.

If you love the first ring, this one will knock your socks off.ย  Made from 18 karat yellow and a bit of white gold, this ring is true showstopper.ย  Measuring 1.5 inches from top to bottom, this ring reaches from knuckle to knuckle on my hand.ย  The emerald cut tourmaline weighs 10.00 carats and is surrounded by twenty-two diamonds that have a total weight of .75 carat.ย  Framed by a bold gold border, this ring is everything you never knew you needed.ย  Priced at $3,750.00 – it’s too good to miss.

Shown together, we’re dying to know which one is your favorite.ย  ย  Which would you choose – simple elegance or over-the-top bling?ย  Can’t wait to hear from you!
