Joe’s Special Box Luxury Edition – Volume 8

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling and  A Collector’s Things

“An inessential, desirable item which is expensive or difficult to obtain…”

This is the definition of luxury in the dictionary.  For the past several months we have been entertaining stunning, one-of-a-kind jewels that are undoubtedly desirable.  Each of them could also be considered expensive (although that is a relative term) however, none are difficult to obtain.  The staff at Joden provides the absolute best in customer service.  With two graduate gemologists, two master bench jewelers and several jewelry professionals…  the experience at Joden is like no other.

Made from a delicious combination of 14 karat yellow gold and platinum, this fine Edwardian ring is a rare find.  A lace-like web weaves a pattern of trefoils and subtly beaded edges.  The upper portion is round, mimicking the shape of the center stone…  a cerulean blue cabochon sapphire.  The silky smooth surface of the stone rises from the ring and is surrounded by tiny sparkling diamonds.  Weighing nearly 1.50 carats, this sapphire pairs equally well with the warmth of the yellow gold and the scalloped platinum edges.  Thirty-six diamonds add .60 carats of twinkling brilliance to this early 1900’s ring.

With every element singing with Edwardian elegance…  this gem is available for $4,500.00.  If it strikes your fancy, come to our showroom at 144 South Broad Street, downtown Grove City.  Our staff is friendly – welcoming you to not just gaze upon this beauty but to slide it onto your finger and appreciate it for yourself.

The jewelry at Joden is surpassed only by the quality of the people that work there.  Each of us was hand-selected by Joe.  We love what we do and enjoy every opportunity to share it with you.  For more than fifty years, our motto has held true…

“You can go to a museum and look, or you can come to us and touch.”

Joe’s Special Box – Volume 126

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and A Collector’s Things

Memorial Day is a time-honored tradition in this country.  It’s a day to remember all those who died in military service to the United States.  Originally called “Decoration Day”, we celebrate by placing flags and flowers on gravestones and memorials.  Veterans march in parades in local communities.  In my family, we have many veterans, including my father and my father-in-law.  We know how blessed we are that our servicemen came home.  On Monday, we will recognize and revere those who did not.

Old Glory is a patriotic pennant of red, white and blue.  The red symbolizes hardiness and valor, the white is for purity and innocence and the blue signifies vigilance, perseverance and justice. This flag is recognized all over the world as a symbol of freedom.  This star-spangled banner has been there for every moment in the history of our nation…  from our deepest sorrows to our greatest triumphs.

This ring from the late 1800’s offers much of the same symbolism.  Made in classic three stone style, the design has one stone for the past, one for the present and one for the future.  The power of three is universal.  It’s the holy trinity…  Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  In addition, sapphires are believed to represent truth, sincerity and faithfulness.  Rich blue in color, this old cut natural stone weighs approximately 1.60 carats.  It is flanked by a matched pair of Old Mine Cut diamonds.  These two stones have a combined weight of 1.25 carats.  The diamond is the chosen gem of commitment and strength.

What piece of jewelry could be more perfect for Memorial Day than this late Victorian ring?  Comprised of blue sapphire and white diamonds, this ring stands for truth and commitment… the very same promises made by our flag and guaranteed by those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Pick of the Week – Volume 26

Joden Girl

Baubles and Bling with Unbelievable Pricing

We first introduced this bold beauty nearly two years ago.  Made in a classic bypass style from an unbeatable combination of 18 karat yellow gold and platinum, the ring makes a strong statement.  Signed “Tiffany and Co.” this ring is as impressive as it is beautiful.

A bypass ring is a bit of a departure from a traditional ring.  Instead of the metal forming one continuous circle, this style presents the two ends overlapping or passing by one another.  Here, one half of the ring is set with a graduated line of round brilliant diamonds.  Eight bright white stones combine for a total weight of .25 carat.  The opposing half of the ring is set with a graduated line of electric blue step-cut sapphires.  These azure beauties have a total weight of .50 carat.

The feel of the ring is silky smooth, it glides over the knuckle with ease and rests comfortably at the base of the finger.  The quality and craftsmanship that Tiffany is known for is evident in this Mid Century Modern gem.  With the popularity of yellow gold on the rise, the appeal of this ring can only increase.

We originally offered this Tiffany piece for $2800 – not a bad buy for a vintage piece from an iconic name.  However, as you may have guessed – it’s still part of our inventory.  It’s time for it to find a forever home.  As part of our Pick of the Week program, this sapphire and diamond bypass ring is now available for the unbelievable price of $1,980!

Not on our site, this beauty is only available in our showroom.  Call, text, email or just stop by to make it yours!
