Baubles and Bling with Unbelievable Pricing

Sometimes writing blogs forces me to look at a particular piece of jewelry with fresh eyes; I have to sit aside any and all preconceived notions and study it as if it were the first time.  This week is a prime example… our chosen ring was one of the very first pieces added to our shoppable website.

Overflowing with details, this ring is made from 14-karat white gold by Divine.  Founded in 1955, this family owned-and-operated business has long been recognized in the jewelry world as a respected source of beautiful signature engagement rings.  “The DIVINE detail can be seen in every piece” – this slogan has served them well for more than three generations.

Featuring a diamond halo, hand-engraved band, three different diamond cuts, milgrain-beaded edges and multiple setting techniques – this ring is absolutely packed with detail.  Combining the round brilliants in the halo with those in the band, there are fifty-two in total with a complete weight of .46 carat.  A matched pair of baguettes spice up the otherwise ordinary halo with an additional .10 carat of bling.  Finally, held in place with four prongs is the center stone – a 1.22 carat Asscher-cut diamond (also known as a square emerald-cut).  This diamond has a color grade of I-J and a clarity grade of VS1-2.  It is not an exaggeration to say that this ring glitters from every angle.

Personally, as an engagement ring, it’s a little over-the-top for my taste.  I like a vintage style that accentuates the center stone.  Viewed from the top, this modern marvel is blur of sparkle.  From afar, it’s nearly impossible to differentiate the Asscher cut center from the remainder of the ring.  In fact, it looks more like a band than an engagement ring!  By simply moving this ring from my left hand to my right, I am suddenly seeing it in a whole new light.  It’s perfect as an anniversary band or even a right-hand ring.

Whether you see it as an engagement style or an anniversary band, you’re going to LOVE learning that it has a new and updated price.  Previously available for $9,185.00, we just lowered the price to $7,650.00!  Take advantage of the savings and add some sparkle to your holiday today.

Until recently Yvel was not a brand that I was familiar with…  now it’s everywhere.  This opulent designer can be found in the finest auction houses in the world; from Sotheby’s to Christie’s, Yvel is in demand…  and it’s bringing BIG numbers.  Last January, when I first discovered this necklace, I spent some time perusing both the stunning jewelry as well as the company’s pedigree that is intricately woven throughout the fabric of their website.  These lines caught my attention…

“Created by nature, designed by Yvel.  Yvel is an international luxury jewelry brand recognized worldwide for its distinctive creations featuring nature’s most treasured resources.”

Measuring twenty-inches in length, this beauty was probably once part of the Golden Brown Collection.  The piece itself alternates between a delicately ribbed 18-karat yellow gold oval link and an irregularly-shaped large pearl.  There are eleven pearls in total; each one of these South Sea beauties shimmer with a slightly different hue.  Warm ivory, soft pink, bronzy-yellow, mauve and even copper tones glow with iridescent charm.

Further accentuating the appeal of these pearls are their unique silhouettes.  These are baroque pearls, known for their unsymmetrical shape.  Each pearl is truly one-of -a-kind.  South Sea pearls are among the largest harvested in the world.  They form inside of the pinctada maxima oyster in the waters between the northern coast of Australia and the southern coast of China.  They are prized for their size.  Those featured in this necklace are considered to be second generation, meaning they take seven to ten years to culture, each one measuring between 14-18mm.

The color of the pearl is determined by the type of oyster it grows in, assuming the color of the lining of the oyster.  Golden tones like these come from the area around Indonesia and the Philippines.  Each rare pearl has been fitted with a small golden link on both ends.  As you can see from the photo these connecting joints are pavé-set with four hundred and sixty-two round brilliant diamonds.  To complement the golden tones of the pearls, these dazzling diamonds are cinnamon in color.  Combined, they offer 5.00 carats of brilliance.  The Golden Brown Collection was inspired by the natural beauty of these saltwater gems.

Perfectly describing the Yvel look is this phrase from their site “When combined with Yvel’s contemporary jewelry designs, something magical happens and the enchantment begins.”  This natural wonder is sure to bring some enchantment to someone’s holiday!  Nestle it beneath your tree for the newly updated price of just $7,200.00 (previously priced at $9,500.00)!

Eternity bands – customers either love them or they don’t.  Personally, I am a big fan.  I adore the sentimental aspect of the endless pattern.  Symbolizing the eternal commitment that you and your significant other have made, a never-ending ring of stones seems so appropriate.

The primary concern about these beauties is sizing.  Some think that not only are you vowing to love someone throughout all eternity, you’re also vowing to stay the same size as well!  There’s no question that some eternity bands cannot be sized.  However, in the hands of a skilled expert, many can be adjusted if necessary.

For the fourth piece in our holiday series, we’ve chosen this 18-karat white gold diamond vine ring by Beverley K.  There’s so much to love about this botanical beauty.  Currently measuring a size 6, this ring wraps the finger in an unending band of coiled vines and leaves.  Delicate milgrain beading decorates every line and curve of the band adding an oh-so-vintage vibe to this modern, new piece.

Featuring two sizes of leaves, the eight larger ones contain a round brilliant diamond.  In total, these diamonds have a weight of .13 carat.  Dainty and darling, this feminine band has been featured on our site for $1,375.00.  Although it is still a current offering in the Beverley K line, we have decided to drop the price on this one.  It’s now available for just $950!  That’s a discount of more than 30% – do not sleep on this sale!  It’s the only one we have and it won’t last at this price.  Click over to our site and hit that buy button.
