What’s New – Vol. 51

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling and the Latest Things

Mid-Century Modern design is rapidly gaining popularity.  The design aesthetic from the 1950’s and 1960’s encompassed everything from home decor to jewelry accessories.  The sputnik-like light fixtures and iconic wooden furniture from those decades is highly sought after and commands big prices.

This beauty is a stellar example of fine jewelry from that era.  The influence of the 1940’s is strong except that this ring is made entirely of platinum – a metal that was unavailable to jewelers during the war years.  A decidedly refined Retro vibe radiates from this little ring.  Asymmetrical style appeals to me – I love the luxurious unbalanced panache.

Thirty round diamonds have been pavé set along one side while a playful spray of five straight baguette diamonds burst from the other.  These thirty-five diamonds offer a full carat of dazzling sparkle.  That three-pronged spray juts flawlessly off the hand when this diminutive charmer is worn on a pinky finger.

If you are as smitten with this Mid-Century ring as I am – stop by the store and try it for yourself.  It’s available now for $2,650.00.
