Joden Girl
Baubles, Bling and the Latest Things
April is for animals, amphibians, or perhaps an apoidea. This month, we are celebrating all the wonderful and weird little creatures that have been immortalized in a piece of jewelry. Trending this year are whimsical animal brooches; insects and sea creatures are at the top of the most wanted list. For added fun, the challenge is to wear them in new and unexpected ways. One novel method suggests showcasing brooches in clusters. This delightful trio of bees could be sold separately; however, we encourage you nab all three. Then you can sport the whole swarm! This trend is described as maximalist fashion; 2026 is all about embracing the “more is more” aesthetic.

The smallest of the group, this diamond bee measures about one inch from wing tip to wing tip. He’s made from both 14-karat white and yellow gold. Anatomically correct, this little fellow is complete with four wings, six legs, two antennae, and two large compound eyes, which are marked by a pair of red rubies. The thorax and abdomen are bedazzled with twenty single-cut diamonds while an additional fourteen sparklers decorate the wings. Combined, these diamonds offer .75 carat of scintillating sparkle. Priced at just $1,250.00, he’s sure to create quite a buzz!

Similarly sized, is this colorful beauty. Made entirely of 14-karat yellow gold, this one is also anatomically accurate. He has all four wings and six legs. His eyes are also set with a pair of tiny round rubies. The similarities end there… his wings showcase hand-engraved patterns with no stones. A cluster of seven round diamonds adorn the head, weighing .XX carat. The body of this bee shimmers with an oval-shaped cluster of ten hot pink rubies. He pairs beautifully with the first bee and can be yours for just $1,100.00.

Last, but certainly not least, is this sizable stunner. With a wingspan of 1.5 inches, this temptress must surely be the queen. Her sizable body (designed for prolific egg laying) and slightly larger heart-shaped head are ablaze with twenty round diamonds that offer 3.00 full carats of brilliance. If you’re not intimidated by her size, perhaps her cool emerald gaze will do the trick. More than double the size of the two worker bees, this 14-karat two-tone queen weighs in at a whopping 12.1 grams; available now for $3,400.00.
While each bee is charming on their own, the combined impact of all three bees is irresistible. The possibilities are endless with the complete trio – priced at $5,750.00. Cluster them on your lapel. Pin one to your cuff and a couple on your shoulder. Mix them in with costume or thrift store finds for an eclectic look. There are no rules – create a look that is all yours!
