Joden Girl
Baubles, Bling and the Latest Things
With brooches coming back in a BIG way this year – we simply could not resist sharing this Victorian charmer. Handmade near the end of the 19th century, this little guy just slithered in. Measuring 2.25 inches from his tiny little nose to the tip of his curled tail, his svelte body is perfectly sized to delight any audience. Google lens assures me that he is, in fact, a salamander and not a lizard. Salamanders have sleek, scale-free skin and no claws… making him a member of the amphibian family, not the reptile family. As I personally am vehemently opposed to all things reptile, I was delighted to discover that our friend is not reptilian at all.

A soft and subtle patina has developed on his 15-karat yellow gold body. Most likely English in origin, this creature exudes charisma. Fifty-nine creamy seed pearls decorate his petite form with a singular strip of eight turquoise in the center. A sparkling pair of pink rubies adds a twinkle to his eyes. Five webbed toes fan out from each foot, giving lifelike authenticity to our clever companion.

This fellow would add a touch of playfulness to your life. Pin him to your collar, cuff or lapel. Affix him gently on the shoulder of a cozy sweater, the hip pocket of your favorite jeans or the brim of a baseball cap. This salamander brooch will quickly become your constant companion – you’ll want to wear him every day. And for just $1,950.00, you can!
