Joe’s Special Box – Volume 92

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and A Collector’s Things

You don’t have to ask me “Do you love them?” or Do you love them not?”  I adore daisies.  There’s something so appealing about the simplistic beauty of those bright yellow centers surrounded by stark white petals.  Imagine my excitement when I discovered these little gems in Joe’s Special Box!

Picture these delicate charmers on your earlobes!  Made in a classic combination of 14 karat white and yellow gold, these earrings are delightful.  Eight perfectly formed buttery gold petals surround a fully faceted diamond center.  Each diamond is nestled into a white gold setting ringed with an octagonal milgrain border.  They feature threaded posts and backs for added security.  They are super sweet and Oh so affordable – priced at just $360!

Don’t forget – our holiday ours start today!  We’ll be open until 8:00pm!

Conversion Crazed

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and a Bow Fling

Recently, I introduced you to the idea of converting your unworn jewelry into something fabulous…  something you’ll find yourself reaching for time after time.  One of my favorite examples of up-cycling jewels and gems is this bow pin necklace –

Once it was a little brooch, laying in a box…  not being worn.  Just look at it now!  Who wouldn’t want to own this?  At Joden, we have an entire collection of conversion jewelry – and it’s been flying out the door.

So…  when I stumbled across this little beauty, you can imagine my thoughts!  First – just look at details –

It’s a daisy petal pattern!  And we all know how I feel about daisies.  Love love love!  Just look at those diamond encrusted petals.  Each element is incredible – and it’s entirely constructed from platinum.  Set into that stunning filigree are 98 diamonds with a combined weight of 1.75 carats.  Beaded millegrain lines and soft scalloped edges complete the look.  Those Edwardians sure knew how to do things right.

As soon as I saw this piece, I asked Joe about it.  He and I had the same idea – it has to be a necklace.  Made in a bow-tie style shape, it will be adorable nestled into the hollow at the base of the throat.  And so…  this brooch is hanging out in our state of the art shop, accompanied by a little platinum chain.  Our expert craftsman will breathe new life into it…  stay tuned for the grand unveiling!

He loves me, he loves me not…

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and a Daisy Ring

I love daisies, I always have.  As we enter into 2017 – the symbolism of them couldn’t be more appropriate.  Daisies represent new beginnings.

I carried them down the aisle at my wedding, they were woven into my hair…  even my wedding band is an eternal ring of daisies.  I love the bright yellow center against the stark white petals.  I love how the petals seem to grow one over top of the next.  I love every little thing about them.

So, can you guess how I feel about this ring?

Yep.  I love it!  From the warm tone of the Old Mine Cut diamond center to the delicate filigree wirework – it’s perfect.  Of course, my favorite part is the tiny carved flower on either side of the diamond center.

With only four petals, it could be any flower.  In my mind, it’s a daisy.  A daisy is actually two flowers that are harmoniously blended together.  The center petals are the first flower, and the surrounding petals that form the rays are the second flower…  like a new bride and groom on their wedding day.

It’s absolutely lovely as a right hand ring…  I know because I’ve tried it on.  Often.  But, secretly, I would love for some lucky girl to have it as an engagement ring.  Priced at just $1200, someone needs to buy it before I do!

What kind of jewelry do you love?  Drop me an email and tell me about it.  Send it to:  carrie@joden.com.

As always, go to our site and look, then come to Joden and touch.
