Victorian Splendor

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling and Vintage Things

Christmas 2025 is shaping up to be an earring year.  Early holiday shoppers are trickling through the door; earrings are at the top of their lists!  Whether they be bold gold hoops, classic huggies or dazzling diamond studs – Santa is sure to be bringing the bling.  Earrings are a perfect go-to gift, no matter if you’re the giver or the receiver.

  • Need something for your bestie – earrings!
  • A Secret Santa gift for the new girl – earrings!
  • A commitment-free gift that is sure to please – earrings!
  • Something sweet for your sister – earrings!

I could go on and on.  There are very few ladies who don’t love earrings (even those without pierced ears – we have a great selection of non-pierced beauties).  Antique earrings are always in demand and sell nearly as quickly as we post them.  Dana and I nab them as soon as we see them!

These Victorian earbobs were made from a rosy shade of 18-karat gold and feature a matched pair of oval citrine gems.  Shimmering with a deep orange glow, these two stones have a combined weight of approximately 4.00 carats.  Looking very much like the spokes on a ship’s wheel, each citrine is surrounded by a series of seven sapphires.  Each single-cut gemstone is bezel-set.  Small but mighty, these bright blue gems have a total weight of .50 carat.  A singular diamond sits at the top of each wheel – also bezel-set.

The hinged back of each earring showcases a beautiful engraved pattern.  Not fancy, they’re perfect for daily wear.  Slip them on in the morning with jeans and a sweater; keep them on later with a dress and heels.  These classic antique earrings, made in the late 1800’s, are every bit as stylish today as they were then.  Make them yours for just $1,250.00.

What’s New – Volume 31

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and The Latest Things

Made at the end of the Edwardian era, these dangly earrings are just too good!  Perfectly sized and beautifully designed, they are made from an unbeatable combination of platinum and 14-karat yellow gold.

Beginning with two dainty bezel-set old cut diamonds then flaring out with two uniquely shaped links, the overall form of the earring is elegant and refined.  Each one culminates with a scalloped-edge floret.

Made in three distinct sections, these floral links center on a matched pair of Old Mine Cut diamonds that have a total weight of .40 carat.  Encircling those diamonds are a halo of deep red calibré-cut rubies.  Well-matched in both size and color these gems have a combined weight of approximately .80 carat.  Forming that scalloped petal edge are sixteen additional old cut diamonds; added to the twenty-diamonds set in the remainder of the earring – the forty stones have a total weight of .80 carat.

Still ensconced in their original leather box, these beauties are authentic and original, moderately priced at just $3,675.00.  This could just be my favorite fresh find yet!

Pick of the Week – Volume 41

Joden Girl

Baubles and Bling with Unbelievable Pricing

Georgian pieces are a rare find.  Georgian pieces in excellent condition are nearly non-existent.  It’s no surprise considering that the Georgian era ended in the 1830’s…  most of these uncommon gems are at least two hundred years old.

Jewelry was completely handmade from labor intensive techniques like thin sheets of usable metal made with hand hammered gold ingots.  Primitive rose cuts, Old Mine cut diamonds and gemstones were set in silver and gold; feminine floral motifs were all the rage.

These late Georgian earrings resemble a pair of flowers hanging upside down…  small red ruby buds are set in simple pinched collets.  Twelve rose cut diamonds add a hint of sparkle to the silver leaves on either side of the golden stem.  Natural pearls set on an uncomplicated swirl of wire complete the look.

Previously priced at $1,200.00, these earrings have been chosen as a Pick of the Week.  After a significant price drop, they’re now available for just $900.00!  Check them out on our site now.
