The Space Between

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and a Wrap Around Ring

With only three shopping days left until Christmas, the holiday panic has set in!  Stores are filled with customers who just don’t know what to buy!  Don’t let it get you.  At Joden, we can solve all your gift-giving dilemmas.  We have perfect pieces for everyone on your list…  we’ll even wrap it with a pretty bow!

Check out my pick for today… an absolutely adorable wrap ring.  This is not your mom’s wrap ring…  instead, it’s like a little hug for your finger.  Made from 14 karat rose gold, this piece is a play on a bypass ring.  One end features a lovely lavender colored amethyst nestled into a delicate halo comprised of twenty-eight round brilliant diamonds, while the other end is a tiny micro-pave diamond ball.  The 2.38-carat amethyst is specially cut with a checkerboard style faceting that adds to the modern feel of the ring.  The forty-seven diamonds that make up the two stations have a combined total weight of .12 carats.  It’s the ideal amount of sparkle!

While I am crazy for both of these elements, the best part of this ring is the space between them.  Look at it on my hand (excuse my un-manicured nails!).  The tiny opening makes this ring.  It’s everything!

I’m sure you’re wondering about the price, right?  I am delighted to tell you that this whimsical little beauty is priced at just $550.  It’s definitely budget friendly, and it’s available now at Joden Jewelers.

Joe’s Special Box – Volume 41

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and A Collector’s Things

After nearly 50 years in business, Joe still handpicks each piece that makes its way into the dazzling array of gems and baubles filling the showcases at Joden.  From the finest antiques to brand new trends, Joe has an undeniable eye for style.  Just the other day, a package arrived with a few new bits for holiday shoppers… a charming stack of colorful eternity bands, a wide openwork diamond ring, and this…

Oh.  My.  Gee.  This striking beauty was zipped into a tiny clear plastic bag nestled among a dozen other pieces strewn across the white sorting pad on Joe’s desk.  Casually resting between random doodles and scribbled notes, there it was… a blue topaz and diamond dreamboat.

An elongated emerald cut Swiss Blue Topaz sits parallel with the length of your finger in this 14 karat white gold stunner.  This bright stone is accented by a delicate halo of round brilliant diamonds and a pair of straight baguette cut diamonds that flank the center stone.  More round diamonds wink from each shoulder.  It positively screams classic elegance.  It’s hard to believe that this is a modern manufactured piece.  It’s even harder to believe that it sells for just $800!

This beauty won’t last long…  in fact, I bet it doesn’t last the week.  As soon as I take it off my hand and put it in the showcase, that is!

Holiday Glow

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and Diamond Earrings

Just look at these beauties…  14 karat rose gold diamond earrings.  Every girl needs a great pair of diamond studs.  They’re classic, like the little black dress of jewelry.  The perfect addition to every outfit – from denim to cashmere – you can’t go wrong, and these are no exception.

Made from a glorious rosy gold, these are not your average diamond studs.  These gems are made in a modern halo-style.  Each one is set with a round brilliant diamond center; the two stones have a combined weight of .79 carats.  Surrounding these bright diamonds are an additional twenty-eight diamonds that weigh .28 carats.  That brings the total of all diamonds to 1.07 carats – over a half carat in each ear!  The low profile style makes a statement and yet is still perfect for daily wear.

When rose gold began to emerge as a trend a couple of years ago, I really thought it would be short-lived.  White gold and platinum had reigned supreme for more than two decades.  How could this pink-hued metal rival that?  Fast forward to 2018, and it’s clear that I couldn’t have been more wrong.  Rose gold is perhaps the most requested metal at the engagement case, with yellow gold taking a close second.  Don’t get me wrong, ladies still love white gold and platinum, it’s just that now there are more options – like these earrings!  The rose gold gives them a little extra something, a bit of a glow.  Who doesn’t love a little holiday glow…  I know I do.  Priced at $2450.00, these have arrived at Joden just in time for Santa.
