Joe’s Special Box – Volume 30

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and A Collector’s Things

Now that it’s October, I couldn’t wait to share this delicate beauty from Joe’s Special Box.  Opal is the October birthstone…  and this one is super sweet.  A fire of green, orange, and blue create a spectacular flash of color in the center stone while two tiny diamonds add just a hint of sparkle.  These three gems are bordered by dainty gold swirls, another classic Victorian detail.  My absolute favorite design element of this piece is the whimsical tilt – it’s simply charming!  This little enchantress is also budget friendly – modestly priced at just $450.  A steal of a deal for an authentic antique ring.  Come visit me at Joden and check it out for yourself.

A Fresh Perspective

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling and Eye-Catching Things

In 2018, engagement ring trends have definitely taken a turn…  a sideways turn, that is.  Fancy shaped diamonds are no longer being set in the traditional North/South direction.  Our customers are FLIPPING for East/West orientation!  This look is a little unexpected, but “Oh so chic!  “

This ring is a Joden exclusive…  completely handmade by our own Steve Becker.  An innovative beauty, it’s made from just four round platinum wires.  Three of those wires wrap around the finger while the fourth creates a cradle for this stunning 1.20 carat marquise stone.

From this view, you can begin to appreciate the simplistic genius of this contemporary classic.  It allows all the focus to be on the diamond.  And isn’t that what engagement rings are all about?  That killer center stone!  As I mentioned earlier, this ring is only available at Joden and can be custom made to fit just about any diamond.

I love the band-like shape of the ring.  Because of the flat edge, this diamond ring can be easily paired with any band…

Check out this duo!  The aesthetic appeal of the non-traditional solitaire with a timeless eternity band is epic.  One thing is certain, this is definitely NOT your mother’s marquise ring.

Joe’s Special Box – Volume 29

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and A Collector’s Things

This piece is a home run for me in more ways than one.   A lovely little Art Nouveau gem – meticulously carved from high karat yellow gold.  The intricate basket-weave pattern features soft swirls mixed with textured lines.  Cobalt blue enameling provides a bright pop of color.  Five natural pearls are nestled into the open spaces.  Made around the turn of the 20th century, this pendant could easily become a signature piece in any wardrobe.  The back features a removable glass lid – it covers a compartment that could be used for a photograph, a lock of hair, or both. I love this simple, yet terribly sentimental detail.  It brings to mind the old saying…

“Something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue.”

Wouldn’t this be a perfect gift for a new bride on her wedding day?  I think so!  Personally, I’d be happy to receive it for any reason…  or for no reason at all.  This piece (tucked away in Joe’s Special Box) is available now for $1,280.00.
