Joe’s Special Box – Volume 21

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and A Collector’s Things

This Georgian ring is complete perfection – from the cushion cut .50 carat Burma ruby in the center to the swirls and whorls of 18 karat yellow gold that create the band.  Probably made during the early to mid-1800’s, this open work beauty is in mint condition and would be an asset to any jewelry box.

My eyes hardly know what to look at first…  the rich red of the ruby, those killer Old Mine Cut diamonds, or the intricate beaded gold work.  Each detail has been tended to with the utmost care, not one thing was neglected.  I can see why Joe chose to add this ring to his Special Box.  Priced at $2550, it’s ideal for a non-traditional engagement ring or a right hand ring.  Visit us at Joden and see it for yourself.

Ring Around the Rosey

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and a Rose Cut Ring

I stumbled across this ring last week – and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since!  First, I showed it to my work friends, only to discover that they love it as much as I do.  Then, I added to the diamond case, thinking that some lucky girl should have it for her engagement ring.  Finally, yesterday I spirited it away to take some photos so I could share it with you.  It’s really occupying too much of my time BUT just look at it!

This 14 karat rose gold ring is absolutely charming.  First – let’s talk about that rose cut diamond center…  weighing in at .52 carats, it is dazzling.  Right now, you may be wondering “What is a rose cut?”  This unique cutting technique has been around for more than 500 years.  It features a flat bottom with a domed top (bearing a resemblance to the flower for which it was named).  The top portion showcases triangular shaped facets giving it a soft glow.  Surrounding this rose cut is a round diamond halo – adding a second dimension of sparkle.  This ring has a little secret – and it’s my favorite detail –

Don’t you just love this tiny bridge of diamonds on each side?  I sure do!  The additional 26 diamonds add another .14 carats of bling, bringing the total diamond weight to .66 carats…  but it looks like so much more!  This ring is available in our showroom now (as soon as I put it back) for just $1900.  It’s ALOT of look for that price.  You have to see it to believe it!

Joe’s Special Box – Volume 20

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and A Collector’s Things

Ballerina girl… you are so lovely…”  Ah, Lionel Richie – no one can sing a power ballad like you.  And no other dancer could light up the stage like Tamara Toumanova.  The black swan of the Russian ballet, Tamara was enchanting audiences from the time she was just ten years old.  I shared some of her other pieces with you last year in On Pointe.

Several years ago, we were able to purchase the jewelry from her estate.  Joe squirreled away a couple pieces for his private collection, including this lovely charm bracelet.  Containing only six charms, each must have it’s own story to tell.   While all six pieces are unique, here are my three favorites…

A golden acorn, complete with a hinged lid and hidden compartment – imagine all the tiny things that may have been stored inside!  Then, the little wicker picnic basket that also features a hinged lid.  It’s just so sweet.  Articulated charms are highly sought after and quite collectible.  Finally, the star of the show…

I am completely enamored by this miniature ballerina charm with her purple amethyst tutu and white enameled slippers.  Her delicate arms move up and down, while her legs are permanently fixed in seventh position, en pointe.  The perfect charm for a Prima Ballerina.

Enchant the ballerina in your life with this charming bracelet for just $1900.00.
